Orders and purchases

Placing an order

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the product at the listed price. Your order is not confirmed until you receive a written order confirmation from us by email. We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order at any time before confirmation, for example if a product is out of stock or a pricing error has occurred.

Pricing and availability

We take care to ensure all prices and product information displayed on this website are accurate. However, errors can occasionally occur. If we discover a pricing error on an order you have placed, we will contact you as soon as possible and give you the option to proceed at the correct price or cancel your order for a full refund.

Product availability is subject to change without notice. Where a product becomes unavailable after your order has been placed, we will notify you promptly and offer an alternative or a full refund.

Payment

We accept payment by the methods shown at checkout, including Klarna’s buy now, pay later and spread the cost options. Use of Klarna is subject to their own terms and conditions and a separate credit agreement between you and Klarna. We are not responsible for Klarna’s services or decisions.

Free delivery

We offer free delivery to most UK postcodes. Delivery eligibility will be confirmed at checkout. For remote or excluded postcodes, we will contact you to discuss options before processing your order.

Returns and refunds

We want you to be completely happy with your purchase. If for any reason you are not satisfied, you may return your item within 14 days of receipt for a full refund, provided it is returned in its original, unused condition and packaging.

To arrange a return, please contact us at [email protected] or call 07400 322 583 before sending any item back. We will provide return instructions. Return delivery costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty or incorrectly supplied.

Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 are not affected by these terms.

Installation services

Where you engage The Stove and Fire Company to carry out installation of a stove or fire, the following applies:

  • Installation is carried out by our fully certified team in accordance with industry standards, building regulations and manufacturer guidelines
  • A survey or site assessment may be required prior to installation — we will confirm this when you enquire
  • It is your responsibility to ensure safe and reasonable access to the property on the agreed installation date
  • Any existing chimney, flue or hearth must meet the required standards for the product being installed — we will advise you of this during the survey process
  • Separate terms and a written quote will be provided for all installation work prior to commencement

Installation bookings are subject to availability and geographic coverage. Please contact us to confirm whether your postcode is within our service area.

Product safety and compliance

All stoves sold through this website are DEFRA-approved and EcoDesign 2022 compliant where stated. It is your responsibility to ensure that any stove or fire you purchase is suitable for your property and complies with local planning or environmental requirements, including Smoke Control Zone regulations if applicable in your area.

The installation of solid fuel and wood burning appliances must be carried out by a suitably qualified and certified installer (such as a HETAS-registered engineer) and must comply with relevant building regulations. Failure to do so may affect your home insurance and could be unsafe.

You may not copy, reproduce or distribute any content from this site for commercial purposes without our written consent.

Product images and descriptions from brands such as Stovax, Saltfire and Onyx remain the intellectual property of those manufacturers and are used under licence.
